What’s Up at our House – Early Summer Recap

Wow. Does anyone else feel like the past couple of months have completely flown by? Here we are in July already and I hardly remember what went on in May and June!

So, what have we been up to lately? A whole lotta everything. We ended May with track and field meets for both boys, and Carter was able to advance to city track where he competed against athletes from other schools in the district. He brought home some 3rd place finishes and the coveted 1st place ribbon for team relay’s, it was pretty exciting to watch! Flag football ended mid June for Carter, & Tuck’s baseball took us right to the very end of the month. The end of June brought on lots of field trips & Carter’s class hosted a potluck for all the parents. There were so many different and diverse dishes to try from so many different cultures, it was delish! We repped the hunter population and brought some deer sausage. You can never go wrong with deer sausage!

Tuck graduated from Kindergarten & it honestly makes my heart jump thinking that he’ll be in school full time. He was always my sidekick at home and now it’s just me and Elle’s. Whatever will I do on my days off with only one child in tow….

We celebrated mom’s birthday at the beginning of the month and the following weekend we headed to Saskatoon to see GARTH BROOKS! Highlight of my LIFE. Ok, maybe not life, but it’s definitely at the top of the list! It was a great time with great friends and unreal classic tunes. If you haven’t been to one of his concerts yet, you need to!

We finally made it out to the lake to celebrate Canada Day and the long weekend and although the weather left something to be desired we had a great time. I even managed to read a full book! And not a children’s book, an actual novel. I can’t remember the last time I had enough time on my hands to do that. Note to self….read more books.

Anyhow, enough with the words, enjoy the photo’s and until next month show love everywhere you go!
