Customize Your Own Outdoor Mat

After what felt like the longest winter EVER, summer has finally arrived! Morning coffee on the deck is a regular thing and evenings spent outdoors with friends are in full swing. In past years, a lot of focus was put on our yard and getting it to where we wanted it to be. We pulled dead shrubs out, planted fresh new ones, added some poured curbing to give our yard some appeal and rebuilt our raised garden. This year, my focus is our deck! So in the spirit of fluid art making, I made some fluid art magnets! To make your own,[...]

Green Glitter Slime

Well we finally did it. We fed into the slime craze! I have to be honest with you. It's fun. And borderline relaxing. Kind of like the fidget spinner thing. The kids wanted them, they bought them, and I ended up sitting for hours watching Netflix spinning the fidget. It got so bad that I mastered spinning it on my nose while walking. Impressive, right? Back to the slime. The slime is as satisfying. You can poke holes in it, let it drop from hand to hand, make a ball to watch it 'melt' down. Mindless play for max satisfaction! Now findin[...]

Pineapple & Watermelon Solar Lanterns

Happy Tuesday! I'm so excited to share this crafty DIY with you today! A couple of years ago I made these Hanging Solar Lights out of some mason jars and they were such a hit. I wanted to jazz them up a bit and after reading through some suggestions, knew that some color had to be added in. So why not take it up a notch and make some fun, fruit inspired solar lanterns? I'm not sure if you've noticed the pineapple craze that's been going on lately, but I have. And I'm loving it! Combine that with my lingering watermelon obsession from last summer and you hav[...]
