2016 Resolution Printable for Kids!

Can you believe that 2015 is almost over and we’re about to dive headfirst into 2016? This past year has been such a whirlwind of everything. We’ve experienced so much growth as a family and have been met with some struggles that I never imagined we would, but have also made some of our happiest memories.

Are you a resolution kind of person? I am…but I’m not. I’m like a broken record every year. This year I’m going to eat better, tone up a bit, cut back on the coffee…blah, blah, blah.

My resolution for 2016 is to appreciate (more) the people in my life and the things I already have. It’s so easy to lose focus of what is in front of you and to focus on what you don’t have or what you may want. At the end of the day healthy, happy kids & family are what matter most. I’m also going to try my hand at slowing down a bit, I sometimes takes on more than I can chew and end up getting so overwhelmed with it all. If you know me, you’ll find this hard to believe…harhar.

This year, instead of focusing on me, I decided to focus on the kids and get them involved in the resolution making.

2016 Resolution Printable for Kids

This printable helps them focus on 4 different ways they can better themselves in the coming year, either at home, at school, in the community, or for themselves. They can fill out a couple of columns or all the columns. Once they’ve filled it out they can sign the bottom and put it where they please.

Carter’s filled his out and as you can see, being nicer was a common theme. The past couple of months have been a struggle for him, so to have him fill it out, talk about it and realize that this is an area he wants to work on is a good thing. He’s a kid of few words (until he gets to know you, then he doesn’t stop talking!), so it’s fitting that his list is short and sweet. We kept it on the clipboard and hung it on the wall in his room so that he can see it daily and be reminded of what he wants to work on. He also asked how I liked his ‘fancy’ signature….I think he was aiming for speed more than anything, haha!

Choose your color from the 4 below and have fun sitting down with your kids and finding out what they hope for in 2016! Each printable is formatted as an 8×10, just click on your print of choice to download.

2016 will definitely be a year to remember, I can’t wait to ring it in!
