Hello my pretties…Halloween is fast approaching and I finally found 10 seconds to decorate our porch! I have to be honest. I hate trick or treating… ugh. I could stand in my own house and hand out candy all day long, but I really loathe having to go out myself with the kids. Horrible right? Oh well.
What I DO love about Halloween is the decor! So despite my reservations about trick or treating, each year I make sure our porch is decorated for all the ghouls and goblins that come to our home. It’s gotta be spooky, but not so much so that it scares the littles!
This years decor was pretty minimal. Some skeletal creatures & skulls and a whole lotta cobwebs!
I made a stacked pumpkin topiary of sorts last year. It’s found a home in an old metal milk jug we had kicking around. One of these days I’ll get around to blogging the how-to for it!
Some pumpkins and gourds add a smidge of color to the spook. To lighten the mood a bit, I made a fun sign with my Cricut, to show that we aren’t all scare around here!
I gotta say though, the pièce de resistance is definitely this wreath I picked up from Michael’s. I feel like I need to mention that it was 55% OFF! Whaaaaaat?! I know, I was all “start the caaaar!!!” How much fun is it?! It’s spooky and whimsical all at once & ties in great with the sign, the pumpkin & our skeleton theme.
Hope you have a spooktacular Halloween my friends!
