Welcome! I’m so excited you stopped by today. If you’re new around here, my name is Chandra & this is our spring entry and living room tour!
I’m joining an incredibly talented group of ladies this week for the Styled for Spring home tours, hosted by Jenna over at Wife in Progress. If you are coming over from A Blue Nest, then I think we can all agree that Jordyn’s bedroom would not be one we would want to get up and leave in the morning!
Our front entry/hall sees the most traffic in our home, so I love to keep the décor cheery & welcoming. This time of year I’ll incorporate lots of color along with some simple touches that can be adjusted to take it from spring to summer without much effort! As you can see, we currently have some photographs hung on the walls. This just makes the room feel more homely and adds a nice touch. We have our pictures in frames, but I have seen other people using photo tiles for wall art. This looks equally as nice. I suppose some people don’t like big frames on their walls, so photo tiles are much more simple and seem to go with most interior themes.
I like to use fresh flowers whenever I can, and tulips are my go to this time of year. Our local grocery store usually has them for the right price so having a variation of color is more than affordable. Sometimes you just have to treat yourself and your home & fresh flowers are the easiest way to do that!
I’m finding myself getting drawn to soft pinks and creamy whites this season. Like the front entry though, you’ll still find blues and yellows scattered throughout the room.
On a side note… Sigh. Our fireplace. If there is one area of this space that I struggle with, it’s our corner fireplace. It has presence, but it doesn’t. It needs a makeover, but I’m not quite sure what that makeover will entail. If you have suggestions, feel free to send them my way!
I kept the mantle fairly simple. I pulled out my flamingo Easter eggs from last year and also scattered the rose gold speckled eggs I did recently. Some creamy white candlestick holders, a distressed bunny and a pop of color, round it all off.
I hope you’re feeling inspired and ready for Spring! Now if only the snow would melt faster around here…

Chandra, your entry is full of color and springy touches and it looks amazing. Those flamingo eggs are so cute – might have to try some of those! And I feel you on the fireplace. We have a corner in our house that I just can’t figure out what to do with – maybe painting it white? That’s always my go to for freshening something up!
